PT, DPT — Visceral Manipulation Specialist — Marlboro, NJ
Dr. Svetlana Friedman is a licensed Physical Therapist and Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 15 years of clinical experience. She holds advanced certifications from the Barral Institute in both Visceral Manipulation and Neural Manipulation — two of the most sophisticated manual therapy disciplines in the world.
Born with an innate curiosity about the human body, Dr. Friedman earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from Boston University before going on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Columbia University — one of the most respected DPT programs in the country. She then trained directly under Barral Institute faculty and has since helped more than 2,400 patients find lasting relief from pain that had resisted every other form of treatment.
Her practice, Symphony & Harmony Physical Therapy, is built on a simple but profound principle: the body is a symphony of interconnected systems, and true healing comes only when all its parts move in harmony. She takes time with every patient — listening, palpating, and following the body's own signals — before designing a treatment plan that addresses the root cause rather than the symptom.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Friedman lectures at regional physical therapy conferences, mentors new graduates in visceral techniques, and continues her own education through advanced Barral Institute courses.
Schedule a ConsultationThe body doesn't lie. Pain is a message — our job is to translate it.
— Dr. Svetlana Friedman, PT, DPT
A career built on rigorous academic training and continuous pursuit of advanced clinical knowledge.
Three guiding principles that shape every patient interaction and treatment decision.
Every session begins with deep listening — to the patient's history, their concerns, and most importantly, to what their body is communicating through palpation. No assumptions. No shortcuts.
Symptoms are signals, not diagnoses. Dr. Friedman traces each symptom back to its structural origin — whether that's an organ restriction, a fascial adhesion, or a neural tension pattern — and addresses it directly.
Healing is a gentle process. Rather than forcing change, Dr. Friedman works with the body's inherent rhythms and self-corrective mechanisms to guide it toward balance — sustainably and without trauma.
Take the first step toward lasting relief. Dr. Friedman's team will respond within one business day.
